AODs:
-
Production of cluster AODs not started because misalignment issue not settled. Calibration after several iterations on Golden run cannot be further improved, we are at about 9.5 MeV for pT > 2 GeV, with current clusterizer.
-
Since HI production will have priority and time is becoming shorter, we decided to push for the analysis of officially produced AODs, correcting on the fly for the calibrations, and alignment issues Analysis of such AODs is also fast.
-
Yaxian will produce a set of xml files for such AODs. Separating productions with and without RCU, different period passes, and in general good EMCAL runs. Also 900 GeV.
-
NxN clusterizer afterburner:
-
Deepa showed the results presented in the wiki. Larger pT range, mass dependence with pT compatible with what is get with standard clusterizer. Width shows larger value and some structures due to the way the clusterizer works. It was suggested to run analysis with 5x5, which should give same results as standard, and if possible with NxM. Also 5x5+unfolding.
-
Unfolding afterburner:
-
Results from Olga were discussed. Need for a common set of cuts and common way to calculate the efficiency. Results promising. Need Mass vs Pt and Sigma vs Pt
-
Cuts: It was decided to have a common set of cuts in order to be able to compare directly the different analysis. Gustavo proposes as start :
-
Remove clusters in borders : maximum cell away from border in 1 cell unit
-
No asymmetry cut
-
pt cut of 0.3 GeV/c
-
Number of cells in cluster larger than 1
-
We must use the same way to calculate the efficiency and we have to compare the different afterburners or analysis with the same cuts. Let's start with this one.
-
Alexei showed different cuts in MC generation that might need to be retuned in order to match data. Work needed, but not for this analysis.
-
Nicolas has produced some plots on the effect on the pi0 yield on the fitting. Missing comparison with "Crystal ball" fits. To be done soon.
-
Gustavo will produce a tutorial for the pi0 analysis task on aliroot and all the new settings for recalibration and position calculation, for the next meeting
Next meeting next Thursday at 14h with PHOS friends
