A special slot will be set up containing Python 2.7. The order of priority for platforms to finish are: slc6/gcc46, icc11, clang, MacOS X Lion. 32 bit on slc6 could be needed depending on when the slc5 to slc6 switch will take place. Will go for 64 bit only for now and re-discuss once the slc6 migration timescales are more clear. Round table: ============ SPI: ---- LCG 62 was announced in Dec and got a patch release soon after. icc licenses are now resolved; adding icc to the standard again. ATLAS: ------ ATLAS built 17.5.0 with LCG 62a; validation to start this week. Reports stability problems with the slc6 nightly builds of LCG. New CMT version available, which they want to pick up. CMS: ---- 5.32.00 ROOT tested with CMSSW_5_0_0. Problem with mem alloc for dictionaries. fix by Axel. is now in ROOT patch. New CORAL 2.32. ROOT: ----- Created 5.30.06 with changes listed in http://root.cern.ch/drupal/content/root-version-v5-30-00-patch-release-notes PF: --- Working on new version of packages which will contain an API extension. Once ready, a new major LCG release would be useful. LHCb: ----- Ben Couturier joined as replacement for Hubert Degaudenzi. No interest in new CMT version as it does not improve the setup time. After internal discussion in LHCb, Python 2.7 won't be used in production for this year. Request to stay with Python 2.6 and have dedicated Python 2.7 slot Tested the remote desktop capabilities of Lion. Lion VNC allows multiple users to work concurrently. GEANT4: ------- no news.
