Evening at CERN
Globe
The Globe, CERN

  • After a greeting speech given by Rolf-Dieter Heuer, CERN Director General, workshop participants will enjoy the official welcome buffet, followed by "drink sharing".
  • The drink sharing evening is a chance to network with your workshop colleagues. It is a very informal evening and participants are invited to bring along a bottle of something to share.
  • The event will take place in the CERN Globe.
  • A bus transfer is organised from the city to CERN and back.
  • A tramway stop for downtown stands across the street from the Globe.

17:30: 2 Buses leaving from UniMail
17:45: 2 Buses leaving from UniMail
18:20: Arrival at CERN
18:30: Welcome speech by CERN's Director General
18:40: OAI7 speech
18:50: Show "Fun with Physics" ("Drôle de physique")
19:10: Onwards: welcome buffet & 'wine sharing'
20:30 - 23:00 :While the party is going on, interested participants will form groups for a visit of the ATLAS Visitor Centre ( http://atlas.ch/atlas_tour/index.html )
22:00: 1 bus back to town
23:00: 1 bus back to town
