CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research is proud to announce an international Symposium for the Inauguration of the LHC Cryogenics, to be held at CERN’s Globe of Science & Innovation, in Geneva, Switzerland.

This forum of discussion and exchange of information, associating industrial partners and research institutions, will focus on the scientific and technical challenges of the LHC project and the associated cryogenics for the accelerator and physics experiments. It will constitute a window on the latest developments in cryogenic technology for large scientific projects, and address future perspectives for new large cryogenic systems.

In the frame of the Symposium an industrial exhibition will take place in the Globe of Science & Innovation. A complete program of technical visits to several CERN sites of the LHC accelerator and physics experiments hosting cryogenic facilities is organized. The Symposium will be concluded by the official inauguration of the LHC cryogenics.

We look forward to welcoming you next spring in Geneva, to celebrate the inauguration of the largest and most complex cryogenic system in the world.
