Description
In this seminar we review heavy flavour production and decay measurements made by the ATLAS experiment. We discuss the trigger scheme used to capture heavy flavour decays with high efficiency within an acceptable bandwidth, and show examples of exclusively reconstructed B-decays under this scheme. The status of heavy quarkonia production studies in general, and the recent discovery of a new chi_b state at the experiment, are reviewed. Finally, we present the results of a search for the rare B-decay Bs->mu+mu- using data collected in 2011.
