The next US ATLAS Computing Facilities face-to-face meeting to discuss a number of topics pertaining to evolving the distributed facility with new capabilities and services while maintaining on-going operations for ATLAS production and analysis. Topics:  
  • ATLAS requirements and US ATLAS Facility storage deployments 
  • Network performance, LHCONE
  • Support for multicore queues
  • Federated data access deployments and operations
  • Supporting analysis and improving performance
  • Wide area caching issues
  • Cloud queues - virtualizing the Tier 1 and Tier 2s
  • Campus Infrastructures & multi-science support with OSG

Hosted by the University of California Santa Cruz, the 1.5 day meeting will be co-located with a 1.5 day OSG Campus Infrastructures Community meeting which will immediately follow the US ATLAS meeting. Both meetings will take place at University Center on campus.  Note: if you plan to also attend the OSG CIC meeting you must register for it separately

Lodging options: Here is a link that provides information about local hotels.   The Mission Inn is the closest to campus (about 3 miles) and will likely be around $100/night. Both the Holiday Inn Express and the Hampton Inn will probably be about $110, and both have a government rate of $84/night if that applies. Please contact Mykell Discipulo (mkdiscip@ucsc.edu) for assistance with accommodations.
Registration fee: The US ATLAS Distributed Facility Workshop registration fee is $50, payable by check to UC Regents at the workshop.
