Minutes SCT Digitization Task Force EVO meetiung on 8 June 2010
Present: Reisaburo Tanaka, Richard Batley, Taka Kondo, Steve McMahon, Pat Ward
Reisaburo>
Reisaburo and Shaun had a short informal meeting with 4 people from Pixel
group about SCT and Pixel Digitization models. Pixel people expressed
their strong interest. Both group agreed to keep communication to learn
each other. If possible, both group have a joint meeting during next ID
week. Carolina explained the status of implementing radiation damage
model into Athena.
Resiaburo>
In next TF meeting, Reisaburo will make a summary on radiation damage
effects, maily based on the Pixel radiation damage TF Twiki page.
Taka>
He explained a proposal of mapping induced current at various points
under one strip size. He made a map for the trial point at B=2 Tesla,
VD=65V, VB=150V, T=0C. The weighting potential was re-calculated in
order not to include the effect of space charge as Shaun pointed out.
The mapping and associated programme were available on the specified
Web for download. Richard glanced at it and expressed that he could
possibly implement it in the current SCT digitization including pulse
time sequence.
Taka>
In the effort of understanding strange peaks that Elisa found in her
LA plots, he pointed out a quite high correlation among three variables,
Pt, local_x and local_phi. The positions of Elisa peaks exactly
correspond to the place where only high Pt tracks are allowed.
His personal MC showed some (but not full) indication of peaks when
the relativistic rise of ionization is switched on. He also pointed the
Elisa's LA plots contains data points wider than kinematically allowed.
Steve>
He proposed a presentation of the SCT digitization TF during the
next ID week. Shaun will be asked to present it. He also proposed a
presentation by Elisa on the status of LA study.
Next TF meeting>
Due to ID week, the forth TF meeting will be delayed and be held on 29
June.
