Summary
Design Thinking is a method of meeting people’s needs and desires in a technologically feasible and strategically viable way and applies to a wide range of human-centered processes and services. It can be used in combination with Agile Project Management and Program Management to deliver the products, ideas and services that will create value for the individual.
The design thinking process has been applied to developing new products and services, and to a whole range of problems, from creating innovative business models for selling solar panels in Africa to restructuring HR services at Coca-Cola Company.
In this interactive presentation, Renatus Hoogenraad will explain the Design Thinking process in simple terms accessible for non-experts in the field. You will learn about the phases and tools of Design Thinking and find out how these may be used to find the right product, service or idea to be delivered.
About the speaker
Renatus is a senior team and leadership coach, innovation process facilitator living near Geneva, Switzerland. He works with all types of organizations to create sustainable change using Design Thinking and Service Design as his central method. His interventions set the scene for better resilience, more fulfilling performance and better communication leading to increased project outcomes and outputs as well as motivation.
Renatus leads Innovation projects for a variety of organizations such as BASF, ADIDAS, Eon and many more. He also leads train-the-trainer programs for PwC, Swisscom and Eon. He is a fully licensed ICF, Co-Active and Solution Focus Coach. He holds a degree in both Business Administration and the Performing Arts and is an expert contributor to the book "This is Service Design Doing".
In 2006 Renatus founded Sparks, a training and consulting firm based in Geneva. On his professional journey, Renatus has led multi-cultural teams and served as director and branch manager for organizations in the non-profit and profit sector.
Renatus is married and is the proud father of 2 children. Last but not least, Renatus is fluent in English, French and Dutch and speaks ein bisshen Deutch.
