RAA at ALICE and CMS

The transverse momentum spectra of charged particles have been measured in pp and PbPb collisions at sqrt(s) = 2.76 TeV by the CMS and ALICE experiments at the LHC. Both analyses will be presented, with an emphasis on the similarities and differences in approach taken by the two collaborations.
