Description
The next generation of large-volume galaxy surveys will gather an unprecedented amount of information about our cosmic neighbourhood. I will briefly review some of the cosmologically interesting observable quantities that can be extracted from these measurements: the power spectrum of the galaxy distribution, weak lensing, and counts of galaxy clusters. Focussing on the hunt for the elusive mass of the neutrinos, I will discuss the discovery potential of these surveys, keeping in mind both experimental and theoretical systematics.
