During its second year, in 2012, the preparation of the upgrades of the LHC Injectors has remarkably progressed. Advances have been made in the understanding of beam performance limitations and in the definition of mitigation means. Major steps forward have been made in the design and test of future equipment.
The goal of the LIU 2013 event is to present highlights of achievements in 2012 in the different accelerators, from Linac4 to the PSB, PS and SPS, and to summarize the work planned during LS1.
