These lectures are an introduction to the ideas of particle physics, aimed at students and teachers with little or on knowledge of the subject. They form a broad basis that will be developed in more detail by the subsequent lecturers in the school. Prerequisite knowledge: Basic physics. No prior knowledge of particle physics needed.
