The Invisibles17 School will take place from June 6 to June 10, 2016 at Centre Loewenberg in Murten (Fribourg), Switzerland. The lectures will cover the following topics:

  • Dark Sectors (Brian Batell)
  • Cosmology (Alexandre Refregier)
  • Flavour Physics (Zoltan Ligeti)
  • Neutrino Physics (Enrique Fernández-Martinez)
  • Detection Techniques for Neutrinos and Dark Matter (Teresa Marrodán Undagoitia)

In addition, there will be two seminars concerning:

  • Statistical Methods (Giovanni Punzi) 
  • 21st Century Publishing and Refereeing  (Leonie Mueck)

 

Several tutorial sessions will be organized, where students will further discuss the topics covered in the lectures within an informal environment.

Moreover, a poster session will take place during the school, students are thus encouraged to bring and present their own posters. (Important: no printing facilities will be available at the school, students are thus asked to bring the printed version of their own posters, in A1 or A0 format).

The registration fee is 800 CHF. This includes full board accommodation, as well as a social dinner.

The school is primarily intended for PhD students. Since the number of participants is limited, applications from PhD students will therefore be favoured. Masters students and young postdocs are nonetheless welcomed to apply.

Unfortunately, no form of financial support is foreseen for students attending the school.

The school is followed by the Invisibles17 Workshop, that takes place in Zurich the week after (12-16 June 2017).

Invisibles17 School has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 674896 (ELUSIVES). The project ELUSIVES focus on Neutrino and Dark Matter phenomenology and their connection, with emphasis on the role of the symmetry relating matter and antimatter.
