The aim of the workshop is to develop the creative and analytical skills of the participants in order to develop new and innovative products that could eventually be offered as souvenirs to the visitors of CERN.

CERN personnel and Ipac Design students will work together through the design cycle in order to develop their creativity through a series of lectures, presentations, team building exercises as well as the main project of developing real items that could be available at the Cern Gift Shop.The workshop will take place in IdeaSquare as well as the Ipac Design Geneve Campus (Rue du Grand-Pré 58, 1202 Genève) and will be held in French and English.

The project meetings are on Wednesdays from 14.00 to 18.00 with the following topics:

5/4     Team building exercise, bridge with drinking straws (at IPAC campus)
12/4   Design methodology, Design thinking, Brainstorming and Ideation
(19/4   Easter break)  
26/4   User research, task analysis in real life situation (at IPAC campus)
3/5     Prototyping and prototype evaluation
10/5   Project (at IPAC campus)
17/5   Project
24/5   Project (at IPAC campus)
