Description

As Future Accelerators explore their limits in terms of machine performance, Stray Fields have became a potential obstacle to achieve their goals, being the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) one example. The 50 km machine is sensitive to dynamic variations of the order of nT and a good understanding of field sources by carrying out precise measurements are required in order to propose possible corrections to asses the viability of such a project.

This workshop is intended to examine natural and technical stray fields sources and potential EM disturbances that could impact the accelerator's performance. Furthermore, possible active and passive remedies and alternative solutions to counter-act the impact of unwanted fields will be discussed.
