Brian Paul Bockelman (University of Nebraska-Lincoln (US)), Philippe Canal (Fermi National Accelerator Lab. (US))

Attendees: Axel, Taylor, Oksana, Zhe, Philippe.

Oksana: I have a PR that centralized the setting of the ‘default’ compression algorithm.   I also working resolving the reference files discrepancies.

Oksana: Cloudfare zlib was not made to work properly on Windows and Mac and after a lot of effort to make it work efficiently but the compression ratio was always disappointing when not using the SIMD code (i.e. Mac or Windows) … some files grew 40%!  So now I have a new PR (missing the reference file update) where we revert to ‘regular’ zlib on Mac and Windows.

Philippe: Working on still on CMS schema evolution problem and have an ATLAS problem in the pipeline.

Zhe:  Learning curve on RDataFrame, will be help Brian on RDataFrame over Bulk I/O.

Taylor: TMPI file stuff: a postdoc (yongsoon Wang) at NERSC is running test in more realistic test and will report soon.   Will be useful to get a list of test to run.

Philippe: Danilo and I will work to get you that list.   Can Yongsoon send us what is current (planning to run).
