Description

A new paradigm is explored that aims to explain the observed spread in the fermion mass spectrum, providing a new natural solution to the Flavor hierarchy problem, including the origin of neutrino masses. This predicts the existence of a dark sector from which the Flavor and Chiral symmetry breaking are transferred to the SM Yukawa couplings at one loop via scalar messenger fields. Dark matter constituents, with long distance U(1) interactions, are a natural outcome of this new paradigm. A new intriguing phenomenology is predicted that can be tested at the LHC and future colliders, as well as in low energy experiments, providing also a theoretical ground for a possible explanation of the present neutron lifetime puzzle.
