Description

Are you interested in the Gender Pay Gap at CERN? Do you have some questions about CERN parental leave? Or about the challenges of recruiting a diverse workforce in a scientific environment?

Join us in our next WIT Diversity Talk with James Purvis, head of Human Resources at CERN. Everybody is welcome!

James was born in the UK, brought up in Mallorca, and studied Computer Science at Brunel University (UK). James started at CERN in 1989 (the year of LEP start-up and the invention of WWW) working since the inception of the AIS project and associated tools. James is passionate about understanding the needs and delivering the services and strategy required to meet them. He strives to modernise, innovate and make a difference. In 2006, James moved to HR Department eventually leading the newly created Talent Acquisition group in 2012 and in 2016 was nominated head of HR.

The interview will be conducted by Anna Cook Deputy Group Leader of the Talent Acquisition Group in the HR department.
