The international Day of Women and Girls in Science has been established in 2015 by UN, to recognize the critical role women and girls play in science and technology. The International Day of Women and Girls in Science, celebrated on 11 February, is implemented by UNESCO and UN-Women, in collaboration institutions and civil society partners that aim to promote women and girls in science. This Day is an opportunity to promote full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls.

On this occasion, the Physics Department of the University of Rome, La Sapienza, will host a day of activities, organized, for the 2020 edition, by the CMS experiment Rome group in coordination with the international particle physics group [click here for more infos]

The day will be organized in a morning seminar session, a social lunch with the women and girls of the Department, and an "only girls " hands-on masterclass on high energy physics in CMS.
