Modeling and optimization of the European XFEL with OCELOT

Abstract:

Users place high demands on the performance of FEL machines, including high availability and minimal time to tune the machine to meet specific requirements.  Automatic optimization and modelling of the accelerator are crucial components for effective machine operation. The multiphysics software toolkit OCELOT is used for modelling and optimization of the European XFEL. This talk will review recent progress in the development of the OCELOT for modeling and optimizing accelerators and examples of its use for the European XFEL.
