Description

Have you ever thought about quitting your day job to follow your passion and make a difference?

This week's EM-U speaker certainly has. Pierandrea Quarta has worked in big consumer goods multinationals for 10 years, his latest role was global brand manager of Head&Shoulders where he was the intrapreneur behind the first bottle ever made with plastic collected in the ocean (youtu.be/CS6bJwZ0Kdk). Now he has left the company to follow his quest to help solve the problem of plastic waste, this time as an entrepreneur founding an ambitious social impact startup working to develop the first smart bottle that cleans the ocean as you drink.

Come and learn about how to put sustainability on the radar of a big company, how Pier made the first product announcement in the history of the World Economic Forum, and most importantly learn how he is trying to use the power of technology to solve the problem of plastic waste.

..and of course, afterwards we will go to Restaurant 1 of CERN to enjoy a round of refreshments and good conversations.
