First Physics Results from Belle II@SuperKEKB

by Thomas Browder (University of Hawaii)

Description
Abstract
I will start with a few highlights from recent Belle II Physics Runs, which took place in spring and summer 2020 during the global pandemic. The peak luminosity was 2.4 x 10^34/cm^2/sec, which is a new world record. I will then give an update on the fall run, Oct-Dec 2020, and plans for 2021 running.

The focus will be on the first physics results from Belle II. The first two Belle II PRLs are on topics in the Dark Sector. At the ICHEP2020 virtual conference in Prague, Belle II showed initial B physics, charm physics and tau physics results as well.

I will conclude with a few comments on the potential of the future Belle II physics
