Description

There is increasing experimental evidence that lepton interactions may be richer than those predicted by the Standard Model. Discrepancies between measurements and predictions in B-meson decays and in the muon anomalous magnetic moment may provide hints for new particles or new interactions. The ATLAS experiment has a broad programme of measurements and searches that can shed light on the origin of these anomalies. This seminar will present recent results from these studies, including searches for new contact interactions between quarks and leptons, for new heavy leptons, for scalar or vector leptoquarks, and for lepton-flavour-violating Z-boson decays.
