UK HEP Forum 2021 - "From Laboratories to the Universe and Back"
Talks and speaker candidates:
- g-2, exp (focusing on FNAL result): Mark Lancaster (Manchester), Rebecca Chislett (UCL).
- g-2, th (understanding the BMW lattice HVP results and controversy, including any new lattice results from other groups that confirm / refute, and updates on hybrid lattice+experiment approach for HVP): Andreas Jüttner (Soton), Thomas Teubner (Liverpool). Non-UK alternative: Aida El-Khadra (Illinois).
- LFU, exp (focusing on any new LHCb results): Kostas Petridis (Bristol).
- LFU, th (focusing on interpretation of recent results): Ben Allanach (Cambridge). Non-UK alternatives: Joaquim Matias (Barcelona), Alexander Lenz (Siegen).
- Tying together anomalies in flavour physics (and some connection to the subsequent talks below, if possible): Andreas Crivellin (Zurich), Ben Allanach (Cambridge).
- New LIGO-VIRGO results (including PBH interpretation), exp+th. Speaker candidates suggested by Djuna: Leor Barack (Southampton), Katy Clough (Oxford), Eugene Lim (KCL), Bradley Kavenagh (Cantabria), Tanja Hinderer (Utrecht), Thomas Hertog (Leuven), Valerie Domcke (CERN)
- Dark matter, new experimental results and status: Speaker candidates not discussed at meeting, but Theresa Fruth (UCL) gave a good LZ-specific talk at IOP HEPP+APP+NP last month.
- Axions, th: Doddy Marsh (KCL). [possibly a separate dedicated exp talk too?]
- LHC Run 3 (new signatures to look for, particularly those related to previous topics of the meeting, i.e. DM / LFU), th. No speaker candidates yet.
- LHC Run 3 most exciting experimental prospects (including a few slides on commissioning):
- ATLAS, CMS, ALICE, LHCb: No speaker candidates yet. Possibly a short talk from each experiment?
- The smaller experiments, incl FASER, milliQan, MOEDAL: No speaker candidates yet.
- QCD Instantons at the colliders: Valya Khoze has agreed to give a talk (title TBC).
