Abstract: Conventional hadronic matter incorporates baryons and mesons made of three quarks and quark-antiquark pairs, respectively. The talk will present an observation of a new class of hadrons, a doubly charmed tetraquark, consisting of two charm quarks, an anti-u and anti-d quark using data collected by the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. I will discuss the details of the analysis and immediate reaction of the theory community anticipating the discovery for 40 years.
