Jerry concluded that his time planning was much too optimistic. His commitments in other project don't allow him to participate any longer to the EDIT school. Christian in consultation with Ariella, contacted the Lubljana group (P. Krizan et al.) which immediately agreed to participate. Samo Korpar will from now on be a member of the photodetection team. He can cover the area MCP-PMT and possibly also provide expertise for other areas (like MAPMT and G-APD).

- equipment list Dieter / Yuri
Dieter and Youri prepared descriptions and equipment lists for two measurements on APD and one on G-APD. Ths last measurement is complementary to what Veronique and Nicoleta are preparing. The document will be uploaded to Indico.
- MCP-PMT
Samo will prepare a desciption of measurements involving one or several MCP-PMTs.
- outline of lecture
The proppsed outline was discussed and extended. It was agreed that applications outside HEP, e.g. medicine and industry (oil) would only be mentioned in passing (possibly links provided). The various topics were attributed to persons or teams. The updated outline was uploaded to Indico.
All participants are asked to
provide a more detailed outline of their topic(s) and an estimate of the number of slides
upload material from previous schools/talks (ppt format) which is relevant for the lecture
The total lecture should not exceed about 100 slides. Keep in mind: we prepare a lecture - not a talk for a specialized photodetector workshop.

preparation of room has started (machines being removed). Repainting highly desirable. Aim at completion by end of November
lecture: aim to have lecture completed by end of December. Need January for final consolidation, practicing, ...
experiments: all set-ups should be operational by the end of the year, either at CERN or at your institute. Please provide a list of equipment which you expect to find at CERN (from E-pool)! Whenever possible, highly specialized equipment should be brought from the institutes.
