      SW Liaison Conclusions 10m
      Speaker: Simone Campana (CERN)

Simone had some discussion with various people who provided follow-up thoughts about the SW liaisons discussion. Simone proposes the following as a way forward: Liz and Graeme continue in their role as SW liaisons until 1st of September 2023 (rather than end of 2023 as initially proposed) after which one of them will step down and the other will continue for an extra year. A new SW liaison will be appointed for a 2-year period, starting on September 1st 2023. Because of people’s limited availability during the summer, we should open the call early in June. This should ensure continuity but also give the opportunity to the new liaison to contribute to the September 2023 LHCC process, introducing staggered appointments and a longer mandate than the initially foreseen one year. Simone will also follow up with Graeme and Liz and discuss how to improve the liaison process between the experiments and the SW communities, based on the input he gathered.
