Plug-in:
- Drawings 2D C2 on Monday
- Make or buy plan ongoing
- Asset creation to do
- Connectors quantities: 6 hypertac + 6 BPM + 6 Combitac but with 3 connections for 3 pumps (no design change but be aware of the plug in the hypertac). Does the 8th slot the hypertac is full?
- Production strategy: Detailed table inserted (Gregory confirm the use of Combitac at VSC lab)
Mechanical table assembly:
- Torque tests done
- Luca updated the drawing to have direct position of the antico, end stop of each table
- Assembly procedure is almost finished
- Position of 2 burndy connector not good (does not trigger at end stop) -> Solution for serie is to change the design trying to have standard and symmetrical one, re-machining for protos
BPM tests and strategy:
- Strategy is changing because Joel thinks he will have good results with graphite. So, we will test MoGr in one side and Graphite in the other side, then measurement and disassembly of MoGr to assemble graphite (if the results are good).
- We need to confirm with impedance team that the graphite can match the requirements (see with Nicolas)
- Ask to impedance if the test can be done with tank opened and then closed
TCC:
- We need to focus on the functionality and test it to see if there are leaks, and updates software etc
- It may be interesting to check a commercial bath and use the TCC just to take the measurements
- TCC has been received and unboxed at B.927
- Meeting with Carlotta on Wednesday to speak about simulations and see the TCC
Absorber materials update:
- 3 CuCD blocks with dry machining received at CERN and tested by Gregory, results next week
- Inermet to be sent to metrology
Production:
- First jaws copper part flatness measurement sent in metrology to check the flatness
- Welded bellows brought to metrology, finished next week (no better precision on it)
- Drawings updated of the shaft beginning of the next week
- Cooling pipes in ultrasound control, waiting for the report. Mini. Thickness of the tubes=0.60mm
- Tank extremities ongoing
- Pressure test tank ok
- CuBe folding finished, then welding
- 350 cleaned parts to be received finally next week
Additional screws:
- Rodriguez declined it because of the pitch
- Moog answer the requirements
- Ewellix answer the requirements, we can visit the factory – Delays = 39 weeks, check the feasability
- SKF, Umbra, Bosch not possible
- Schaeffler answer the requirements, materials to defind
Graphite tapering procurement:
- Asked to Pablo to order 2 blocks – we need 2 more blocks in case tests are good, is it ordered?
- There is special insert (helicoil) in the threads of the graphite
Update on planning:
- Adding 4 weeks for shaft + bellows machining
Update for the serie:
- Update mechanical table after post-proto design modifications
- Change the design of the tapering for materials
- MIP to update including cooling pipes
- Do a drawing of the linear insertion tool because no drawings
- Re-design insertion tool because we need 1mm play for the mounting
- Change the shaft and bellows from “as built” to initial version
