The General Meeting is a formal body on information exchange, decision and policy making to reach aims and goals of the CBG stated below:

The mission of the CBG is to coordinate policy and actions related to high energy particle physics and accelerator technologies (inter alia big data and computing technologies) within the scientific institutions and universities of the Baltic States and vis a vis CERN.

The main objectives of the CERN Baltic Group are:

1. Coordination of the Baltic research institutions activities towards CERN and related Collaborations/Experiments;
2. Strengthening and development of Baltic High Energy Physics community;
3. Foster cooperation between CERN and local industry in the Baltic States and generate new opportunities via joint research projects and contacts;
4. Development of the Baltic international multidisciplinary masters/doctoral level study programme in High Energy Physics and Accelerator Technologies, and related areas.

The main principles of the CERN Baltic Group are: transparency, honesty, sharing and collaboration.

15 Update on the CERN Baltic School of High-Energy Physics and Accelerator Technologies - Estonia, Saaremaa, August 8–12, 2022

Sorry, I have to leave the meeting.

Regarding the Summer School agenda point:

Things are moving along at a steady pace.
We have identified the interested parties and sponsors, confirmed the final list of lecturers.

Currently, we are in hold, to accumulate
- the last feedback for poster before we can go public
- and first input to make the precise schedule.

As a satellite event, we foresee public outreach lectures.
We have preliminary interest shown by
Dr. Edward Laane, Head of Kuressaare hospital
Prof. Sergei Nazarenko, The North Estonia Medical Centre / TalTech
Also, Maurizio, and likely Toms, will be on site.
So I am hoping for some additional fruitful exchange of thoughts.

So overall things are going along quite nicely.

I have the Estonian organizational team (incl. V.Zadin) for my immediate help,
and of course the whole CBG as the advisory board if need be.

Hopefully, very soon, we can already collect the
of first letters from the candidate students!

17 Discussion and Vote: status of the CBG Groups

• Creation of the Advanced Particle Therapy Center in the Baltic States Working Group and election of Convener
• Termination of the Industry Group within the CBG - all Baltic Countries are having ILO's appointed and cooperations is ongoing successfully. There is no need anymore to keep it under auspices of CBG. Still, ILO's to be invited to participate in all CBG meetings and to lease with CBG as previously.
