Virtual 35th IT Techincal-Users Meeting (ITUM-35) [1101336]
- Andreas Wagner, section leader of the former IT-CDA-WF (new IT-PW-WA) mentioned:
Q. GitLab. To avoid vendor lock-in, we didn’t sign up to certain premium features. Can this be looked at again in the light of the MALT decisions?
A. MALT does not affect this. Our present license agreement with GitLab ends Q1 2023 and we will start new license negotiations in the coming months which may influence which version of GitLab we will use in the future. Possibly in future we will look at downgrading everyone to the community edition, and if needed set up special instances with premium features which will be available only to those who need them. —Andreas Wagner (AW)
