Health Insurance
In view of the extremely high cost of health care in Geneva, all in-person participants should ensure that they have health insurance cover, valid for Switzerland for the duration of their stay, covering illness and accidents. This is a standard requirement for all visitors to CERN and you should carry proof of insurance with you.
Visa Application
If you are unsure whether you require a visa to enter Switzerland or France, we recommend that you contact the relevant consulates to enquire about the conditions of entry applicable to you, stating the nature and duration of your visit to CERN.
If you do require a visa, we can provide a letter to confirm your registration to the event, which you can use to support your visa application. Please write to THworkshops.secretariat@cern.ch to request this attestation, if needed.
