SSD weekly minutes 12.08.2022

 

Ruddy

 

  • Today it might be power cut in the laser lab, we were not aware of it because JF is on vacation;
  • Myriam about Laser lab- when u enter code -> if u do not see two light colours (red 'Override on' and green 'Door unlocked') - do not open the door and contact Myriam or Gregory (please see photo attached); 
  • 6.09 visit to install the climatisation in laser lab, where to fix the split;
  • Week 37 (12-16.09) - this installation is foreseen, no activities in Laser lab possible;
  • PCSSD58 - out of storage, SSD drive is full, need to make a copy; hard disc of1 Tbytes is used as server - IT is aware of problem, solution to be found;
  • Package is sent today to Eva Viella (RD50);
  • maintenance of IV-CV probe station will be discussed internally today;

 

Pawel

 

  • Movie night Tuesday 16.08 at 5 pm
  • Gave a presentation on his background and pyTSC project he is currently working on, slides are attached;

 

Vendy

 

  • Vacation week of 2-8.09;
  • Internal RADAC meeting on Wednesday, simulations discussed => GEANT4 is not capable to resolve the damage as f(angle));
  • Gulio (group of Federico Faccio) interested in Vendula’s help (X-ray on Me contacts & SiO2/Si interface);
  • continue to work on OPTICS algorithm for clustering, proper source from Lubljana is implemented into GEANT4 simulations;

 

Yana

 

  • it was a problem with LabView (TSC+ and CryocoolerSwitch could not launch the pump), the pressure port was misconfigured, Yana opened ticket and with a hint from Esteban and CERN service support problem was solved;
  • continue to measure CZ sensors with DLTS, I-DLTS and TSC;
  • looking for opportunity to perform neutron irradiation with 1-2E+12 n/cm2 on CZ (1-2 samples only available);

...

  • last week Marcos and Sebastian had a meeting with UniGe group on TPA with PicoAD, results are interesting matching with Magdalena's TCAD simulations, publication is foreseen;
  • Marcos is heavily occupied with a test beam;
  • Susheel contacted Anja and Yana to continue with defect spectroscopy on MCZ diodes from Helsinki, gamma irradiated; first measurements show several defects (possibly including TDs) in large concentrations comparing to ones produced by CIS;
  • Yana asked Pawel for a hands-on with pyTSC and new features implemented by the end of his stay;
