Description
Short Chronology of actions
- Peter Krizan (JSI Ljubljana) and Christian Joram (CERN) are launching a process towards the creation of DRD4 on Photodetectors and Particle ID. The scope includes also transition radiation and fibre tracking.
- A first meeting was held on 8 March 2023 (by zoom) bringing together some 20 photodetector and PID experts.
- The links to 2 questionnaires have been sent to all people on the mailing list (approx. 215). We need your input/feedback for a fruitful and efficient community meeting. You can find the slides at the indico site (on the right side, below).
- A live community event was held on 16 and 17 May at CERN. Some 50 participants were present plus about 30 per zoom. Main goals: discuss the scientific and organisational backbones of DRD4. The proposal writing process has been launched.
- A 3rd survey has been sent to groups to assess their contributions and interests in the various working groups and joint projects.
- A preparation team has been formed to promote the process.
- A community update event will be held on 15 June (morning, by zoom).
- The original goal to complete the DRD4 research proposal by 30 June 2023 will be hard to achieve. The official ECFA deadline is 31 July.
- If you still want to join the effort, please contact Peter and Christian
