Abstract: Previous designs of the CLIC RTML BC2 either failed RF feasibility tests -due to a too-large iris aperture of the X-band structures - or didn't meet the strict emittance preservation budgets during transport. In our study, the BC2 RF structure has been re-optimised for the 380 GeV stage based on an existing X-band design for CLIC klystron-based design. Also, We revised and improved the emittance preservation methods and the beam-based alignment procedure (BBA). We present four different structures resulting from the optimisation, all passing both the RF validity and BBA tests. We also compared the four options in terms of estimated cost. The structure showing better beam performance is proposed as the new baseline. The other three profiles can be considered alternative solutions.
