International Masterclasses in Rabat

Europe/Zurich
Description

The International Masterclasses in particle physics, initiated in 2005 by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).

They give high school students the opportunity to discover the univers of quarks and leptons, by performing measurements on real CERN data, to meet active researchers in particle physics and to establish links with students from other countries.

The day will begin with an introduction to particle physics,  and to the CERN detectors. The afternoon will be dedicated to a hands-on exercises when the students are invited to analyze the traces of particle collisions observed in the CERN detectors with the help of our scientists. At the end of the day, they share in a videoconference their results with other institutes around the world participating in the program on the same day.

This event will be organized at the Faculty of Sciences Rabat and will be dedicated to the program:
