Rainer's instructions:

1. get a fresh diff of Martin's changes with respect to the current HEAD in SVN; 
we found that some of packages had already changed for tdaq-03-00-01 compared 
to what he had based the diff on.

2. make sure the tdaq-03-00-01 build runs on the RCE. I had talked to Matthias 
about that and he said he had just installed the release, so the test should be 
straight-forward. There may be an issue with harmonizing the external packages 
such as the boost version.

3. define a new platform for the cross-compilation. Matthias already had a canonical 
name for this. We may need a little bit of cmt magic to get this defined for the
