Plenary sessions (Tue, Wed, Thu):
-1st: summary of the days parallel sessions (5 mins) , time for duels (5 min per session), and open discussion.

Plenary sessions (Friday): Theme summaries  

Parallel sessions:
-Conveners role is to initiate discussion. Guideline was 5 slides of material that the convener presents in the beginning. After that we proceed to the discussion. 
-Please don't give a 90 minute talk. 
-Anonymous questions and change my mind statements can also be used here to initiate discussion and possible duels. 

Practicalities:
-Plenary sessions: use our computers
-Parallel sessions: preferably convener's computer. Ours is also available. 

Holmganga should be:
-Scientifically interesting for the whole group. Not a niche topic.
-No need to have a "winner" and a "loser". Can be unresolved. 
-Can be a current open question with two opposing views.
-Group chooses 0-3 for each day. Time min. 5 mins, max 15.  
-Group can pick potential topics and choose at the end of the day. Conveners/organizers can help. 
-Group can collectively agree, no need to challenge someone. You can of course frame it like that too. 
-No need to prepare material extensively. However you can show things on the projector. 

Time for open discussion:
-You can continue discussing interesting questions which emerged, talk to your collaborators, form new collaborations etc. 
-All rooms are booked. Coffee is served. Make use of it. 
-We (the organizers) will be preparing for Friday summary sessions / proceedings. Help yourself, take initiative with discussions!

Joining different sessions:
-You should primarily stick to your theme, however if you want to check out other themes you're free to do that. This is to make sure an entire theme doesn't "die" during the workshop. 
-If possible, upload your slides before your session, so people can see what are roughly the topics that will be discussed within the parallel session.

Anonymous questions:
1. Each person has a printout of the submissions we got before last Friday.
2. If more questions get submitted since then and during this week, they will appear on the webpage for everyone to see.
3. Please think about these questions yourselves and discuss with others throughout the week.
4. If there is time in your parallel session after you have discussed what you as convenor want to cover, you can choose one of fhe submissions from the list that matches your theme and discuss it. 
5. During plenaries on Tue, Wed, Thu, if there is time after all the summaries and duels, we will discuss the submissions in numerical order.
6. On Friday, we give a brief summary of what was discussed during the week and then we tackle the progress of these submissions. Has your mind been changed during the week? Has your question been answered? If not, let’s discuss!
7. The submissions have also been printed in large print and placed in each parallel room. So you can pick one, stick it up on the whiteboard and discuss
8. If there is something in particular that intrigues you, you can advertise to the whole group that you want to discuss it during one of the “open discussion” sessions?

Proceedings:
-Aim is to write them. We would appreciate your contribution. It would make our life easier.
-If possible, provide us one page summary of what you have learned, or find interesting (conveners). 
-We will take notes during the workshop to make the writeup possible.
