Description
LHCb UK Seminar: Short author papers and doing more outside of LHCb
Our speaker is Mika Vesterinen, STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellow at the University of Warwick.
With William Barter and Martina Pili, Mika authored a paper on a new method of determining curvature biases in track reconstruction. In their paper, they describe a data-driven method to correct for these charge-dependent curvature biases using studies of $Z \rightarrow \mu\mu$.
Mika will talk to us about how short author papers, like method and phenomenology papers, come to be.
This seminar will take place both on ZOOM and in-person, in room 2/1-034. Refreshments will be provided.
