Traditionally, the Quark Confinement Conference has a strong outreach program to high school students. Encouraging young scientists and students to attend the outreach program of the conference will provide a platform to bring students and the scientist together, to work together through the masterclasses and to show students which opportunities are available to them in the scientific community.
We are happy to announce that the Particle Physics Masterclasses for high school students and the Dark Matter Masterclass will take place in person at the Cairns Convention Centre on Tuesday, the 20th of August 2024.
The Particle Physics Masterclass is suitable for 10th, 11th, and 12th year students and the Dark Matter masterclass is suitable for 7th, 8th and 9th year school students . It will include theoretical lectures and hands-on sessions, and will take place at the Cairns Convention Centre.
The hosts will be Yiota Foka, Jon-Ivar Skullerud, Wioleta Rzęsa and Jackie Bondell.
