Description
Monique Rivard is a recent Engineering Physics graduate working at Honeywell Aerospace supporting a wide variety of satellite/space development programs. During her undergraduate degree, Monique worked for the Advanced Aircraft Design Laboratory at Royal Military College, blending physics with prototype fixed-wing vehicles to investigate autonomous gliding modes and navigation with magnetic field mapping. At Honeywell, her work includes embedded flight software development, ground station management and configuration, testing and design of terminal subsystems for optical intersatellite and lunar communication links, and science instruments for geophysical monitoring. This talk will provide an overview of the types of projects new graduates with physics backgrounds can support in the Aerospace Industry as well as Monique's path to industry through academia and a professional internship.
