ANNOUNCEMENT OF APPLICATION RESULTS

The selection results have been sent via individual emails to all candidates. The email was sent to the email address that you have given on the application form.

The Romanian Teacher Programme 2024 will take place from 9-14 June 2024. Lectures, on-site visits, exhibitions, and hands-on workshops will introduce its participants to cutting-edge particle physics. We hope our participants will go back to Romania as ambassadors, who pass on the subject to our next generation of physicists, engineers, IT specialists.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate should be an upper secondary school (high-school) physics teacher in Romania.
- The candidate should have not participated in a similar CERN programme before.
- Though most activities will be conducted by Romanian speaking researchers, it is preferable that the candidate has some knowledge of English.
How to Apply:
- The applicants have to apply online.
- The candidates should provide standard personal information, e.g., name, address, date of birth, etc.
- The applicants should have all the required documents before applying: the curriculum vitae (CV), letter of motivation, school certificate.
- Candidates should complete all the required fields for each section.
- Complete your application form carefully and submit it because it cannot be edited after submission.
Additional Information:
No participation fee applies, the programme is free of charge. The lodging (at CERN Hostel) and meals cost for all 15 selected teachers (with the possibility to extend it up to 24 depending on the costs) is fully covered as part of the national project ,,Discover the Universe with Romania @CERN (DUROCERN)”. Transportation costs between Bucharest and Geneva are also covered.
