BPM: 

• the updated consolidation request has been rejected and is waiting for a review. The department advice is to continue with the plan until further information.
• Manoel tested in radiation one of the proposed ADC, which with some caveats seemed to be confirmed as a valid option but do need the clock transmission
• one extra fibre is needed 
• 25% more CTTx [CZ1] are needed
• this is largely covered in terms of GBLD by the current production
• TOSAs would still be in the approved contract envelop (50% was requested)

BLM:

• similar situation formally as the BPM but no doubts about the future of the project
• proof of concept with two vertical slices in the lab and one in the SPS BA5 in validation
• all 3 crates running and firmware & software are able to control the front-end and collect the data. Data are stored in NXCALS (accelerator logging database) and comparisons are being prepared with beam data.
• Question on the VTRx used: all are of course from the modified VTRx from the previous production: to be repeated with the CTRx and final backend SFP.
• some backend SFPs have been identified but will need to be validated when CTRx will become available. More models to be looked into at that time and choose accordingly to price & performance. Antonio/Jan to be kept in the loop

News from ESE

GBLD:

• tests confirmed the quality of the production
• enough category A for the BLM
• enough category A and B in total to cover the BPM (including the increased quantity)

TOSA:

• several tests performed in radiation including neutron displacement damage
• only minor concern is the wavelength shift with temperature 
• Antonio will analyse the combined effect of radiation and temperature shift comparing it with the MUX acceptance window
• heat dissipation is a parameter to be carefully taken into account during the BPM design phase
• some tests performed on a full assembly @10Gbps showed that temperatures around 60 degrees can increase the jitter beyond the target for the CTTx
• those were tests performed in a degraded mode and are therefore worse case scenario
• the contract is going to be sent out next week
• the end of the production is foreseen for May 2025

ROSA:

• discussions continue with the company to evaluate if they can provide the required performance.
• no schedule agreed for the production for now; assuming production will start in 2025
• Antonio asks if this still acceptable from the schedule. Christos confirms the delay does not have significant consequence – budget for the ROSAs was shifted to 2025 already.

CTTx:

• production foreseen to finish in May 2025
• with the exception of the TOSA, and the GBLD which is already available, the other timelines are just projection from past experience
• Antonio asks if it is acceptable to complete the CTTx production first and then start the CTRx production. Both Andrea and Christos agree with this plan.

CTRx:

• production foreseen to finish in November 2025
• with the exception of the TOSA, and the GBLD which is already available, the other timelines are just projection from past experience
• potential delays are to be expected, also in the production of the ROSA
• Christos confirmed this is not a problem

Caution on the timeline was advised by François: some are best case projection and not all agreements with the external companies have been finalised. The production quality needs to be verified at each step and during the whole production phase.

AOB:

François asks whether ATS will go ahead with the CTTx/CTRx as common technology following the various discussions. Andrea is of the opinion that the question comes too late for various reasons and adoption is difficult. Christos adds that no additional project was identified through the CTTB, but budget is being requested to add few as stock critical components in case need arises later – approval & quantities has not been finalised to date.

François informs that the EP internal discussions completed, and they are ready to discuss future needs in BI and ATS. Christos proposes to catch up next week with Thibaut and agree on a suitable plan.
