Targets

- 820-Liquid-lanthanum. To be filled today in the Glove box (Bernard, Valantina)

- #858-UC-MK1-Ta Gold mass marker issue investigated. 3 possible causes: 
    - Mass marker capillary detached from back (to check photos and voltages on other mass markers (they are all somewhat connected through the return))
    - inserting the sample into the MM by wire. wire might stick to the sample and be pulled back when removing the wire. Sample might be located on the wring side of the crimp. ()
    - Sample came out completely (not likely)

- #534-Sn Outgassing / leak when heating. Decided finally to mount the spare #567-Sn . Spare was tested at offline 1 prior to installation at GPS.

- Target for winter physics #835-UC was irradiated at the Medicis position and now cannot be pumped at the MEDICIS frontend. Suggest to couple to HRS or GPS to see if it is Frontend related or indeed a degradation of seals in the Target unit. (This is now the third case)
- Suggest to perform in parallel a heat test with a base from this series. Put the same electrical power through a target container and measure temperatures on all feedthroughs and critical locations.

Physics

• On HRS, CRIS is performing laser spectroscopy on neutorn-deficient Au isotopes to study shape coexistence/regions of deformation. With the Au mass marker on the target, they were able to troubleshoot a few issues and they are running smoothly. They are interested in both ground state and isomers, but they lost some time looking for the isomers because both them and RILIS didn't realise that the RILIS lasers selectively ionise the ground state or isomer because of the large difference in hyperfine splitting.
• On GPS, the ASCII setup was installed on GLM for a first test with stable beam on Tuesday. After the technical stop, several PAC experiments with 111mCd are taking place to study relevant solid state materials with applications in batteries, solar cells etc. The runs are going smoothly so far.
• Proton sharing is going well. With GPS taking STAGISO beams of 0.23 uA, HRS can take around 1.3 uA (depending on supercycle). So far this was sufficient, although there will be a moment where CRIS will need to take full proton intensity to complete the physics programme. This is discussed on a daily basis with the involved parties.

• To be seen what to do with with the "Winter Physics" runs scheduled for the second week of July. Probably suggest to cancel and reschedule in the Winter physics period.
