      MEDICIS

      • Tm efficiency tests continue this week (as part of Ralitsa's PhD thesis);
      • #860M will go on the high trolley on Wednesday morning when no protons are being taken on HRS and GPS;
      • Indirect irradiation will happen from Thursday till the end of the user's run on Monday 08:30 am. Then we proceed with a change of trolley to continue with low intensity (0.2 uA) direct irradiation until tuesday morning 09 am. It will be use for Dy/Tb-155 run for CHUV. It had to be rescheduled already twice due to the target failure we have had this year.

      • On Friday, Christophe, Jean-Louis, Ricardo will proceed to a cleaning of the wheels of our Montrac shuttle and rails in S2, as the wheels are degrading and the shuttle are slowing down. The idea is to exchange the wheels during YETS 2024-25.

      179

      • EN-CV will perform some measurement in MEDICIS related to the air cooling.
      • nTOF will use R_002 on Wednesday to manipulate some U-238.
    • 14:40 14:50
      Targets, Schedule and Physics 10m
      Speakers: Hanne Heylen (CERN), Mia Au, Sebastian Rothe (CERN)

      Physics

      • On GPS, post-accelerated SnS beams were sent to ISS to perform transfer reactions on neutron-rich Sn. This is a high impact measurement with large interest in the community. The run was very successful, and the users were very grateful of the hard work of the target team to deliver the beam after encountering many problems, the machine supervisors to setup the machine in a reduced time and to push the HIE-ISOLDE energy as high as possible which was very beneficial to enhance the reaction cross section.
      • On HRS, neutron-deficient Sb isotopes around Z = 50 are studied via laser spectroscopy at CRIS. So far the run is going well but the run has only just started.

      Schedule

      • Published schedule (I will summarise this info as well in an e-mail):
        • Always updated detailed schedule: https://cernbox.cern.ch/s/7EUlnhPIxQkbV1P for always updated details schedule
        • ISOLDE website: target numbers and MEDICIS to be added in the next few days
        • For the record, I will also add it to EDMS
      • Move ZrO target change to Thursday (instead of Friday)
      • Quad scans proposed dates in September:
        • On GPS (UC + surface ion source) Fri 6/9, Mon 9/9
        • On HRS (TaC + surface ion source) Mon 23/9
      • Open questions for target team:
        • 1.7 GeV
        • 74Rb yield (LOI259) together with 80,82Y (#859-Nb-foils-VD5)
    • 14:50 15:00
      Safety 10m
      Speakers: Alexandre Dorsival (CERN), Elodie Aubert (CERN), Nadine Conan (CERN), Simon Mataguez (CERN)
