      VO Liaison CMS 1m
Speaker: Katy Ellis (Science and Technology Facilities Council STFC (GB))

Discussion of pilot overloading with Tom Birkett. https://ggus.eu/index.php?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=165455 Tom says the VO can do whatever they want within the pilot. On the CMS side, I have no evidence either way on whether it's working well.

Tom also described token progress on the CEs, reasoning for taking Rocky8 instead of Rocky9, and plans for roll-out of IPv6 on the batch farm.

CMS SAM tests were ok this week - just one red day on Saturday caused by a single ceph gw having lost the abillity to authenticate.

    • 14:16 14:17
      VO-Liaison ATLAS 1m
Speakers: James William Walder (Science and Technology Facilities Council STFC (GB)), Jyoti Prakash Biswal (Rutherford Appleton Laboratory)
      • GGUS:165529:
        • T0-T1 test repetition (RAL-LCG2); in progress.
        • Statements:
          • The tape challenge in 2021 was done using the standard DATATAPE so there is a precedent on using standard tape RSEs for these tests.
          • There should be enough space because the pledges have just been updated.
        • Questions for RAL:
          • The test will keep on rewriting the same files - usually on disk they are deleted.
            • What happens if we delete a file and rewrite it after?
            • Is there any intelligence that will prevent this from happening (and reuse the old one already present) or is rewrite on tape allowed?
          • Do we need a different path? The test RSE exists in CRIC and can be adapted.
          • Antares people (George and Tom) have been included to the ongoing discussions.

      • Post-DC24 exercises (final schedule):
        • Repeating the T0 export tests, i.e., traffic only from T0 -> T1s.
        • Run for 6 hours per T1 to achieve the isolated DC24 target rates for them.
        • Mon, 11 March: IN2P3 // Tue, 12 March: FZK // Wed, 13 March: NDGF // Thu, 14 March: BNL // Fri, 15 March: CNAF // Mon, 18 March: RAL // Tue, 19 March: PIC // Wed, 20 March: TRIUMF // Thu, 21 March: All T1s together.
        • Link to all these GGUS tickets.

      • Local discussions on tape family: STAH-76.
        • We are likely to apply a mapping between projects + data_type and the associated tape family / pool to which the data is assigned to (same as last year).
    • 14:20 14:21
