According to the latest schedule (attached), transport of the RFQ2 to the test stand in bldg 152 is foreseen just after Easter, and source/LEBT installation is planned for the month of June. The RFQ2 installation and connection is planned to start on June 24th.

The two short BCTs that are to be installed immediately upstream and downstream of the RFQ are ready and have already been successfully tested for AQN.

On the RFQ exit side, the availability of an intermediate adaptor piece between the BCT and the RFQ ouput flange needs to be verified (SPLACRFQ0114): RS/EM to contact Benoit Riffaud.

On the RFQ input side, the shorter type of vacuum chamber is needed to connect the solenoid to the BCT/RFQ assembly (4-5 cm shorter than the 'nominal' vacuum chamber installed in the Linac4 tunnel). DK/ES to verify with Benoit Riffaud that the chamber has been produced with compatible length.

Details of the LEBT/RFQ2/test bench installation test sequence will be discussed in a separate ad hoc meeting to be organised with Benoit Riffaud. Equipment groups (vacuum, survey, etc) should also be invited for confirmation of  their availability (GB/RS to discuss offline the meeting organization).

The BPM to be installed at the exit of the RFQ2 is ready and has been tested with a multimeter. It will be used to provide a phase measurement of the beam on a scope with input signal from the RF reference. A python script is already available to calculate the phase (evolution of the phase along the pulse length). GB to organize a meeting for introduction to and demo of the script + discussion of logging and CCM implementation possibilities

The two short BCTs have already been declared in FESA: the FESA class is ready with name validation and calibration details.

Concerning the emittance meter, the 45keV device is currently sharing the same ADC as the spectrometer SEMgrid, which causes confusion and can introduce errors in operation due to loss of settings. ES raises the point that it would be nice to be able to switch from one configuration to the other just by loading and external file with all correctly predefined settings. FR will follow up this request

FR will also check with Jean Tassan-Viol the status of the SEMgrid downstream of the bending magnet. The SEMgrid is already installed, its acquisition status neeeds to be checked.

ISTs on the instrumentation devices are considered to have been completed. A dedicated time slot for HW commissioning of the devices should be identified in late May-June before starting the installation period. RS will add this to the official RFQ2 schedule

RS confirmed that budget for the operation of the test stand in 2024 has already been fully allocated, including longer term maintenance needs. RS will organize a project meeting in mid-March to provide further details.
