Next steps for the revision of the TCT/TCL threshold model: perform simulations (tracking, energy deposition and thermo-mechanical studies) in order to determine the max. acceptable load as a function of RS and beam energy.

1) Loss distribution on the TCT (action BE/ABP - collimation team)

• Revision of the loss distribution for an accidental scenario (scraping), for protons and Pb ions - compare to past assumptions from M. d'Andrea and A. Mereghetti
• Provide loss distribution for regular halo losses (leakage from IR7), for protons and Pb ions

2) FLUKA simulations of four scenarios (action SY/STI - FLUKA team)

• accidental losses on TCT (scraping), for protons and Pb ions
• halo losses, for protons and Pb ions

3) Organize a common discussion to downselect the cases to be studied by EN/MME with thermo-mechanical simulations

• select relevant time scales (e.g. RS06/07 + RS12)
• select scenario
