Description
General overview
We are hosting T2K's first summer workshop in the new framework of having two collaboration meetings a year, plus a workshop. The workshop is at CERN, and plenty of logistical information, as well as a detailed agenda, can be found on the tabs on the left of this Indico page.
The broad agenda is as follows:
Monday 22 July - Overview, intro, status of ND280 Upgrade physics analyses and high level analyses (OA, Xsec, Exotics, NIWG)
Tuesday 23 July - Thursday 25 July - ND280 Physics (data quality, calibrations, reconstruction, event selections, detector systematics etc) + Party
Friday 26 July - Priorities for high-level analyses and wrap-up of the workshop.
There will be plenty of discussion sessions throughout the week.
The main aims of the workshop are to:
- Communicate the status and structure of ND280 Upgrade analyses
- Define the priorities for our first analyses
- Determine the roadmap for including ND280 upgrade in OA and Xsec analyses
- Give some time to free-form discussion

Uploading talks
Please upload talks to t2k.org, in their corresponding subdirectory here:
Registration:
Registration is now closed
The registration price is 55 CHF for the workshop and 75 CHF for the party on Thursday on the Bateau Geneve.
Please register whether or not you will be attending in person so you can have access to the zoom rooms. If attending remotely, you do not have to pay anything.
Party on Thursday
We will host the party on the historic steam boat called Bateau Genève, in the center of Geneva. The boat offers stunning views of the lake, and we will have a standing dinner (and potentially karaoke!).
Room locations
The vast majority of sessions are plenary sessions. The rooms for these are as follows:
All days except Tuesday: Filtration plant: 222/R-001 - CERN maps location
Tuesday: Salle Dirac (sometimes called room D): 40/S2-D01 - CERN maps location
Videoconference connections
The workshop can be joined remotely. The Zoom rooms for each session can be found on the videoconference tab of this page
They are also copied on the t2k.org event page: https://www.t2k.org/meet/t2k_workshops/t2k_summer_jul_2024/nd280upsummerws
Accommodation
We have reserved a number of private rooms within the on-site CERN hotel at a price of 58 CHF per room per night from the 21st until 27th July. A booking can be made following the instructions in the accommodation tab.
The block-booking is guaranteed until June 20. After this date, you may still reserve rooms at the CERN hotel by yourself, but we cannot guarantee their availability. In any case, we recommend you book your room as soon as possible.
If you need a CERN guarantor, please use one of the two people below:
Laura Munteanu (laura.munteanu@cern.ch)
Stephen Dolan (stephen.joseph.dolan@cern.ch)
Cancellation and modification is accepted free of charge until 14:00 (CET) 2 days before the foreseen day of arrival.
Reduction of length of stay is accepted free of charge until 12:00 (CET) on the day of departure.
In case of no-show the first night of the reservation is charged at 100% to the supplied means of financial guaranty. The rest of the stay is automatically cancelled by 12:00.
