ECN3 - Structural Safety

  • Bureau de control -> check of SCE consultant’s design to be done by bureau de control after IRP Design Study on timeline after end 2025
  • TCC8/ECN3 steel roof beams identified as a fire risk during LSD:
    • To be carried out a part as FIRIA 
    • First to check if the beams are actually loaded and supporting structures, can we measure if they are loaded?
    • Consultant to do work, budget on SCE pre-studies
    • Painting of beams could happen after dismantling timeline of 2027
  • Seismic/sonic study needed for decay volume, surface building, target complex:
    • Possibility to do sonic tests to do characteristic of speed velocity of seismic waves and understand soil category (standard in CE in southern Europe)
    • Can use bore holes for hydro-geoleoical study, if still open
    • Consultant to do work, budget on SCE pre-studies
