Abstract: The Super-Kamiokande (SK) experiment, a water Cherenkov detector located in Japan. Since 1996, SK has been collecting data on muon and electron neutrinos being produced by cosmic rays in the atmosphere. Tau neutrinos are expected to appear in this flux of atmospheric neutrinos due to neutrino oscillations. In this seminar, I will discuss the measurements of tau neutrino appearance covering an exposure of 484 kton-years at SK, with which, we exclude the hypothesis of no tau neutrino appearance at 4.8 sigma. Serdecznie zapraszamy dr hab. Katarzyna Grzelak prof. dr hab. Aleksander Filip Żarnecki
